1. Conference Dinner

  • Date - Thursday 24 November, beginning 7.00pm and finishing by midnight
  • Venue - Claudelands Conference and Exhibition Centre, Heaphy Rooms – Gate 1, Brooklyn Road, Hamilton
  • Transport - Claudelands is within walking distance from the conference venue and the centre of the city, however transport has been arranged to pick up and return delegates to and from the centre city hotels – further details to follow.
  • Additional ticket purchase - The conference dinner payment is included with normal delegate registration fee, however additional dinner tickets may be purchased for NZD$120.00 You will be able to purchase tickets online in September when you receive details via email.
  • Theme - ‘1980’s; the decade of opulence’...which brought us big hair, big shoulder pads and big attitudes - tank tops, tight-fitting pants or torn jeans, and leg-warmers. This is your chance to re-live the past. Further details to follow.....

  • William Pike – Dinner speaker: a highly sought after inspirational and motivational speaker. He is also the author of his popular autobiography; Every Day’s A Good Day [see the conference webpage for further details: www.nursed.ac.nz/profiles.asp]

  • Dance Band – Late 80’s Mercedes - Dance the night away with NZ’s brilliant swing-funk band.

Late80sMercedes play a wide variety of tunes, from James Brown to Michael Jackson and re-arrangements of Top 40 pop songs into kicking swing Jazz numbers! Since its inception in 2000, Late80sMercedes has played an impressive array of events and corporate functions including events for Vodafone NZ, TVNZ, The NZ Advertising Awards, A1 Grand Prix, V8 Super-cars, Flight-Centre National Ball and the World Rally Championships….and now ANEC 2011!

2. Cocktail Function

  • Date – Wednesday 23 November, 4.30 – 6.00pm [directly at the conclusion of the first days sessions]
  • Venue – Conference venue, Wintec Gallagher Hub
  • Additional ticket purchase - The Cocktail Function payment is included with normal delegate registration fee, however additional tickets may be purchased for $30.00 You will be able to purchase tickets online in September when you receive details via email.

The Cocktail Function will include refreshments and canapés and an opportunity to catch up with friends and colleagues. Music will be provided by the cool – acoustic – classical sounds from Soundwave Acoustic.
